Previous Burroughs parent,
I have recently learned that the PK 4 teachers are now the PK3 teachers ay Burroughs. And I can guarantee that you will be happy and pleased with your child’s personalized experience. The teachers  are GREAT! I had a year with those teachers who truly work as a team. You will be happy. After my wonderful PK experience, I ultimately did switch to a popular Brookland charter but I do not feel the same care and personal interaction as I did at Burroughs but I made my choice and I am living with it. The families and other students, out weigh the mediocre teachers at my present charter.

It’s just that I feel that there are not enough neighborhood families at Burroughs just yet. The change will come but there will have to be some personnel changes soon. ECE will be fine. Brookland is heavIly saturated with Highly regarded charters , so take a chance. I definitely would consider Burroughs as a strong “safety” out of the DC Public Schools in Brookland . Don’t hesitate, you will be happy. The neighborhood charters have more neighborhood families but that demographic is definitely changing. Every Brookland family can’t get into Stokes, YuYing , LAMB and the others. Don't hesitate listing Burroughs.
