I also wonder. I think it is a newly invented holiday. I would really like to know who celebrates it. I have heard that is celebrated by the african americans, but even though I know some of them, I do not think any of them celebrate it. Christmas instead is the winter solstice holiday that has always been celebrated one way or another in northern regions
"Celebrated by the African Americans"? What an interesting way to phrase this. You would think you were talking about a foreign species or something. "but even though I know some of them, I do not think any of them celebrate it." I'm not sure why you think this means anything. And to answer OP, yes, someone actually celebrates Kwanzaa. There are all sorts of different people out there in the world doing and celebrating things that are not familiar with the majority. If you are genuinely interested in Kwanzaa, then this is probably a good place to start. http://www.officialkwanzaawebsite.org/index.shtml
