Colby is really in the middle of nowhere and the winters will be brutal. I grew up in Connecticut and went to Colgate for 2 years before transferring. The small school combined with isolated location and terrible weather made it a very depressing place. Colby would be similar I think. I had several friends from high school who went to Denison, Wooster, and Kenyon. I visited them often during college and they had the nicest friends and an awesome liberal arts college experience! There was a noticeable difference in the culture. People from the midwest are just friendlier.

Another thing to really consider is how your DC will travel home. Denison is only 30 minutes from the Columbus airport which will make flying home easy or a 6.5 hr drive. It would be difficult to get home from Colby.[/quote]
