(I'm not saying it's the actual average for 40 yr olds nationwide -- that's well out of 100k; but 400k is what you hear of being a "goal" number for my 40-ish yr old white collar peers in NYC and DC.) So while DCUM is ridiculous in some ways, if you don't put too much stock in the people who have to come brag about having $3m at age 31, the sum of the info is useful.[/quote]
