Also, it seems after 5th grade, parents seems to transfer their kids. Middle and high school are no good. I'm in the same boat as you. I live in Upper Marlboro directly across the street from Rock Creek Academy and that is a hot mess and when I toured Riverdale Baptist, it felt like an overcrowded public school. I applied for a few independent schools in VA and DC for 1st grade next year. If we don't get accepted, I might as well do public with what I'm getting here.
