That is not true.  If he is in this mindset, he needs to be evaluated.  Especially if he is actively suicidal, which it certainly sounds like he is.  Safety is key and they can do a better job ensuring his safety so that he is not able to take his life or harm himself.  OP, please call the hotline immediately as a PP suggested.  Good luck and do not let him out of your sight until you can get him to mental health professionals who can help him.  [/quote]
