I did a BCP cycle last month and it went well. I'm doing the same again now. I started BCP on Day 3 and have been on it about a week. During the last several days I have felt my ovaries seeming quite active, pinching and tingling like they always do when I'm in the week leading up to ovulation. It also seemed like my CM was getting more slippery today. I don't remember noticing these symptoms last cycle during BCP suppression, but it's possible they were there that time also. Can this be normal? Or is it possible for your ovaries to not be quieted by the BCP suppression? Is there a chance I started BCP too late and my body didn't get the signal soon enough to slow down (it's always kind of hard to tell which day is actually Day 1 for me)? I am really worried this cycle is a bust already, and this is my last attempt.
I have had the exact same worries! I really had a crappy time on BC, so I am hoping that I did not ovulate through! I will find out Thursday. I googled around a lot about it, and I discovered that it is fairly common to have some "phantom" ovulation pain while on BC. My doctor also confirmed that women have said they thought they ovulated but did not. Fingers crossed for both of us..
