Mistaken Premise:  Assuming middle school honors classes have anything to do with AP success.  It's a big misplaced assumption to think that MS honors have any correlation other than the fact that most kids taking APs have taken MS honors.  However, not all who take MS honors take all APs later.  Success in APs has a lot more to do with kids choosing specific AP classes that they are interested in, or being motivated to compete for college admissions by taking a lot of APs, or having a lot of other kids in your high school who take them (and take them seriously), or having access to tutors/competent teacher, etc.

There are a lot of factors that have a much higher effect on AP success than whether or not someone took MS honors classes.  MS honors are not designed to be good preparation for taking AP classes.
