Are you the smithsonian mom who flipped out over your kid eating a burger on his field trip a few years back? Let the boy eat. A teenage boy who is already that tall is probably now to the point of growth where he is gaining muscles. Aw long as he is not parkee on his but playing video games all day, let the poor kid eat food and drink milk. Unlock the pantry Mom.
I am not that mom! Someone asked about why I was monitoring his weight. I had to fill out health forms for summer camp, so I had him get on the scale. He was the same weight then as his last drs. appointment in October. Then when school started and he went to put on his long pants, none of them fit in the waist (his summer shorts were all gym shorts). So I had him get back on the scale to check his weight. It's all around his weight, it looks like. The main snack pantry is locked, but there's a snack cabinet that's filled up daily for him of a mix of treats and good stuff if he wants to peruse. We shop at Costco, so I just want to avoid him going through a case of Pringles.
