This.  I believe they were separated for most of Brady's first year.  Remember Miranda dated the hot doctor for the Knicks who lived in her building? He was at Brady's 1st bday party where Miranda finally confessed to Steve that she still had feelings for him. It certainly could've been longer than that.  Miranda would've been pregnant for around 10 months, plus another year since Brady was 1.  The audience doesn't know when Aiden began dating the person, and maybe the baby wasn't planned.  Who the hell knows.

In reality, it was likely a hole in the plot.  Plenty of things happened on that show that didn't add up.[/quote]
