On what planet is a google search equivalent to a background check?! A background check involves a formal check with local and federal agencies to see if the person has ever been arrested, charged, or convicted of a crime. To ensure the information is accurate, fingerprints are taken to make sure there is no mistake. (Yes, every teacher has supplied their fingerprints for criminal background checks.) They don't use google, EVER, to investigate an employee.[/quote]
