So, I've been working this job for about 9 months now... I'm not making minimum wage, but I work at least 100 or more hours every two weeks. The entire staff has a higher pay rate than I do, but I do the most work. I am literally like the nucleus in a cell! I do EVERYTHING to help this business run smoothly. The owner of the business told me that he would eventually make the business manager, but hired someone else to be the manager right after he said that. This "manager" makes more than me to do a little bit of NOTHING. I have to do his work assignments when the owner sees that he's not doing it (WHICH IS PRETTY MUCH ALL THE TIME)! I loved my job before that "manager" came, but its not so great anymore. I don't report him about ANYTHING!!!! He gets upset when he's out the loop and doesn't know what projects we're doing. If he was actually needed, I would tell him. Ever since I caught him reading my emails, I don't do too much speaking. The owner has forwarded me emails with him speaking very shady about me! I keep it 100% strictly "hi" and "bye". HOW DARE YOU?! He hits on and flirt with our clients! I feel like some of our clients left because of him. The ones he hit on have not come back!!! I used to complain about him to the owner, but it just made me look bad in his eyes, so I don't say anything anymore. He's a know-it-all who knows NOTHING. You can't even have a conversation with ANYBODY, without him throwing his opinion in there. He makes my skin crawl!!!!! My grandma met him at a company party, and thinks he's intimidated by my work ethic and how close I am to the owner of the company. The "manager" gets drunk at the company parties and always waits until I'm around to seek approval from the owner about his progress with his job... The owner ALWAYS looks disgusted when he does that and tells him they will talk later..... this is just a FEW instances of many.... Beyond all the drama and the BS, this job is great! I love the owner. He is a great mentor and he has taught me alot about different aspects of running a business. WHAT THE HECK SHOULD I DO?!
