I'm considering moving and have very little parameters on where to. I am interested in finding a nice place to live outside of NYC, where I could easily take a train if I wanted to go to the city on the weekends. Any advice or experience? Work is not a factor.
You gotta have some parameters - the options are very broad. I'm stuck in DC but I still like reading the "Living In" column in the NYTimes real estate section. It always gives information on the demographics and culture of places in and around the city, home prices, length and cost of commutes to midtown, school quality, etc.
