My nephew was given a full ride--tuition, room & board, study abroad, travel allowance, etc. last year. In addition they had him participate in a three week program before school started for kids who were first in their families to attend college, or who had been admitted through the Bridge Scholars program. My loser brother and SIL haven't worked for YEARS, and my nephew is definitely not a rich kid. I took the tour with him--we live nearby and he was visiting with my mom--and was really impressed.

Nice campus, close to downtown Colorado Springs. Newly renovated library and arts center, lots of alumni support, block program offers opportunities for great field trips, etc. We've met several alumni and staff over the years and all are interesting, good people. They just finished building more student housing, looks like it may be more apartment style rather than traditional dorms.

If your student likes to ski, they have a weekend shuttle up to Breckenridge.
