I wonder if the DCPS speaker meant "SE kids" as in Special Education or Socio-Emotional and just had no idea about how DC is laid out in quadrants? It would be just like DCPS to bring in a consultant from another city who spends no time learning about the District. Not that I agree with how the statement was worded in that scenario either.[/quote] If they meant Special Ed, the shorthand is 'sped' (and as a parent of a student with special needs who gets special ed services, it's offensieve too).
