UVA isn't involved. this is about the removal of the Lee statue from Emancipation Parrk in Charlottesville. President Sullivan of UVA has been all over this issue since first announced. She sent out letters asking the UVA community not to return to campus early (no one returns until next weekend). Today she has also been sending out letters asking the community not to engage. The march on the lawn last night was unexpected. The alt-right did it for the powerfulvisuals but there were only about 200 of them. Now they are at the Park and getting dispersed.
