The American embassy there is like a fortress, very safe. However it is not safe for families coming and going, or in their residences. Glad this order has been made. VZ is a beautiful country with cultured, fun loving citizens. They have not deserved this hell for the past decade. I am praying that the tipping point is reached and that Trump and the rest of the world put enough pressure so that Maduro and his cronies flee with a suitcase of cash in the night. God bless this beautiful land and her people.
I have the same affection for the kind people of Venezuela, after having lived there. No one deserves a regime who's policies have resulted in vast hunger. The hunger in Venezuela is so bad that the average per-capita weight loss over the past 3 years is 19 lbs. Infant mortality has skyrocketed. The government denies that the Zika virus exists in Venezuela, so the epidemic's proportion in Venezuela is unknown to the outside world. The sad thing is: the Venezuelan people largy brought this on themselves by voting for a socialist, Chavez in the first place (now succeeded by form bus driver, Maduro. Seriously - he is a former bus driver).
