Okay so returning teachers in testing grades were rated on effectivenes based on PARCC, if scores don't come out until then there is going to be a whole lot of teacher upheaval in October. DCPS gets the scores during the summer so they have time to come up with a way to make the data look positive and fire teachers. While this does create a lot of open positions very close to the start of school, they know who to fire way before October.

Did you read about last year PARCC scores at Wilson, even DCPS admitted the students did not take the assessments seriously, but yet these are the scores that are used to rate DCPS teachers. No consequences for students, but be damned for teachers! Oh well, just more churning of teachers, principals, and admin at DCPS high schools! [/quote]
