So, yes, both the source of such words and the medium through which they use these words compound my shock.

OP are you really this naive??

Have you watched any of the TV your kids watch? Do any of your DDs friends have older siblings? Have you read some of the books/ magazines/ online stuff they read?

I hate this kind of language too, but I'm certainly not shocked that my 4th grader and 7th grader are exposed to it.
