I have an almost 2 year old in daycare.  He has had 4-5 really raw diaper rashes in the past 8 months or so.  First few times, I chalk it up to him pooping soon after his last diaper change, then sitting in it until his next one.  Then he started pooping consistently right before pick up.  I asked them to check him an extra time right around when I do pick up since almost every day he had poop at pick up.

This improved his diaper rash but again this week they didn't do it and he had a rash so bad that he was walking funny and cried SOO bad when I changed his diaper at the center myself when I picked him up.  He couldn't even sit in his high chair for dinner and I had to hold him in my lap.  He cried so hard and had to stand up while I did his bath.

I'm really upset, but is this just something that is normal and happens when it's bad timing?  He is also talking and didn't alert the teachers that he pooped, which I know he could've done..

Would changing daycares even help at all ?  Other daycare options nearby are a LePort or Primrose.  I have a few other things I don't like about the school but he has so many friends there, I'm not sure I want to make the change.[/quote]
