You don't need a shadow for PEP preschools, and you really should call Child Find. The chances that you're going to want an IEP are high. If you don't want to, not sure why, you should hire an ABA trained shadow. That is going to be pricey. Look on care.com, you should be able to find one for less than through an ABA company, or work with an ABA company and try to get a reduced rate - they will do it based on salary, etc. Where are you? We use Paving Pathways, and I know they do this. Our kid also does not have an ASD diagnosis. Needed a shadow, still needs an IEP.[/quote]
