+1.   Anyone who runs to TheRoot with their story is suspicious.  Everyone wants their ten minutes of fame.  The police would note have cited her if she had not broken the law.[/quote]

I live in the neighborhood and can say definitively that police have been called for noise to other homes but no one has ever been arrested for that noise.  I think the cops went way overboard with this even if she didn't turn the music down right away - there was no reason to arrest her.  Also the neighbors should be ashamed of themselves - you can't call or knock on the door and say something? This was a group of professional adults have a birthday party with a DJ. [/quote]
