[/quote] Only 16 kids. As a PP said, they were the Basis guinea pigs (sacrificial lambs?); they had a weird experience and an abbreviated BASIS curriculum because they began as 8th graders. Most parents are rightly reticent to send their high schoolers to a brand new school with just over a handful of of classmates. Several of these kids are the first in their family to go to college at all, and most prioritized schools where they had a good shot at merit aid. [/quote]
