They haven't announced yet, but this whole thing feels to me like they've already decided on the Ed center and are just trying to make it seem like they've gotten community feedback.
i thought it'd be hybrid option ed ctr + crr ctr?
That's my take on it. They had been set to do the 1300 at Ed Center but came up with the hybrid to placate those unhappy about 3500+ on the W-L campus. But, W-L will still be too big and they won't be able to make the Career Center seats a neighborhood school with just 700 seats so will just have to cross our fingers and hope enough families want whatever choice program they put there.
For this reason, I don't like the hybrid option at all! The only "coveted" program right now is HB. They will not duplicate this in another location, would they? They have not done a good job developing Arlington Tech as to what it could be, so far at least, yet they are counting on enrolling hundreds more kids. They want to put Montessori into that space, and they have the community high school there. It's a huge hodgepodge of different programs, with different needs, yet it's the only other parcel of land that COULD hold a comprehensive high school, but only if they get all the space for it, and the other programs locate elsewhere. A pool would fit. Not a football field... not sure, if they could share field space with TJ at the park, since it's 5 blocks away. For some reason Kenmore already seems to be completely out according to their own analysis. Not sure why they even had it there to begin with, if the "lack of egress" is making the site so unsuitable!? Either way, I share the frustration with the other posters here. APS always comes up with a 4th option at the 11th hour, with limited data. And then they always decide to take that one!
