Honestly the "across" car seat space isn't my biggest concern, it's more that DH and I are both tall (I'm 5'9" and he's 6'2") and the convertible car seats all take up sooooo much freaking space from back to front. We've already had to move the front passenger seat up in the Civic to a point that is borderline uncomfortable for longer trips to accommodate DS's rear facing car seat. [/quote]
