I'm not opposed to the concept, because I feel that most relationships have a dominant personality. What I'm unclear on is why it must be the husband. In our family, I'm the sole breadwinner and DH went from being unemployed and looking to being a full-time SAHD. He also isn't great with money, so why should I submit to him solely because he is male?
Dominant / submissive relationships aren't always the male being dominant. It also isn't about who is the breadwinner. It is about one person having more power / control (intentionally and with consent) in the relationship. It can over time be exhausting for the dominant person as they don't really get to be vulnerable and they can get tired of having to make all the decisions. It can run it course for the submissive person too who starts to find it harder to come out of the submissive role and be an equal partner. But if it works, then it works. See a thread on reddit about this: https://www.reddit.com/r/relationships/comments/6cnvk0/why_am_i_19m_so_attracted_to_my_girlfriend_19f/
