A) Long shorts make it possible to slide down a slide when it is too hot on her bare butt/legs. B) when she flips over on the monkey bars, she wants the freedom to NOT have the other kids to laugh at her when they see her underwear. c) My kid's church preschools required shorts under dresses, so they are required as part of the dress code.
