Most of my "Marine wife" friends are wives of enlisted men. We met through a playgroup on base for new moms and their babies, organized by the New Parent Support Program (an official organization on the base--this was nearly 20 years ago) We live in many different countries now (England, Ireland, Germany, Japan, US) but are still in contact. Some are still Marine wives, some are wives of retired marines, some are widows, and some are wives of men who got out after a few years. We started as women as young as 18 or as old as mid 30s, wives of PFCs, Master Sgts, and Captains.[/quote]
