If you are generally considered to be a good, reasonable and approachable teacher, then sure. Talk to you first. If it's clear that you consistently fail to do what is expected or promised, or you try to cover up and are constantly angling to deflect and do damage control, or you're hostile and evasive to parent inquiries then heading to the administrative office might be the correct move. My children have had all types of teachers. [/quote]
