Our elementary school has been very supportive of DC who has ADHD and HFA, no LDs. Even with support, DC is still having some issues with mild aggression and complying with teacher requests. Would it be helpful to have an educational consultant to make sure DC is getting the support needed and for guidance on whether other school options are needed?
Our educational consultant was pretty useless for this for DS with Asperger's/ADHD when DS was 7 yrs old. What was very helpful was getting a neuropsych eval and the school providing all the supports the neuropsych recommended. We used Dr. David Black.
