I have a daughter in lower school at St. Anne's. We are very happy there. Although it is Episcopal, there is not a big emphasis on religion. They put a lot of weight in to their "social curriculum," and I would say they are fairly progressive. There is transportation available from Bowie, if that helps.
Thank you! I'm thrilled you responded! We were accepted for K. How often do the children have outdoor play? How are the academics? Diversity? We live in the Bowie area and would probably be interested in the bus. Do a lot of the lower school children take the bus? How involved are the parents? How inclusive is the environment? Would you call it warm and nurturing? Or do the teachers avoid creating a nurturing and loving home environment? Sorry, I have a thousand questions but we don't know anyone at the school and it's not often talked about. Not sure if this is a bad thing or if it's a hidden gem. The only Annap schools we hear about are Key and another one that I can't recall.
You should ask the school these questions and not some anonymous person.
