If her DH leaves early Saturday morning he would be there in the 2.5-3 hours timeframe resulting in a more enjoyable weekend. Leaving Friday evening from DC going anywhere would take forever, he would only get there in time to go to sleep anyways. I'd have DH sleep in his bed, get up a bit early and join the family first thing Saturday morning while traffic is very light.[/quote]
