If you are on the in north part of Duck, Avon or south it is only about 1100' between sound and ocean. Soundside with little kids is great they walk out 75' and water is only up to knees. Personally I prefer OBX to the other mid atlantic beaches. Sandbridge has a pretty thin inventory.[/quote]
