DD is 6 and has been having stomaches for a few months. We go in 6 weeks ago, PA says it's constipation and tell us to use Miralax. Did it for a bit, it got better (in terms of her pooping more regularly), though she never did stop complaining about stomach pain. We'e thinking it looks like it's tied to certain foods. She decides to stop eating certain foods, including peanut butter, some cheeses, hummus, and a few others. After a few weeks, I stopped the miralax cause it didn't seem to be helping that much. She was doing lots of poop - sometimes four times a day of diarrhea, and was still having pain. Fast forward to yesterday. Pain is continuing so we go back in and see the ped. She asks lots of questions and orders an X-ray to see if it's constipation. Was supposed to call back today but so far, hasn't. She says to continue the Miralax. Tonight, within five minutes of DD drinking maybe half of it, she is complaining that she is gonna throw up and her tummy hurts. She cries and won't eat dinner (first time that's happened). Otherwise, she had a great day, says she didn't have pain and was on the playground, etc. No issues. DH thinks it's drama but I don't think she's making it up. Has anyone had an immediate reaction to Miralax like that? Maybe it wasn't the Miralax but it was very strange. Up to now, she has always been a great eater and a great pooper.
