My point is ... might be worth getting a road bike until you know how involved you want to be and if a tri bike suits your needs. Do you know about the D.C. Tri Club? (Or if there's a similar club near you if you're not local.) That club has a huge social network and people give great advice. Some also sell bikes; that's how DH got his road bike.[/quote]
