Yes, this.  Her son had a known drinking problem and violent tendencies.  I don't know what she, her mother, knew about it.  But unfortunately lady, your son had a serious alcohol problem and anger issues and clearly felt entitled to behave however he felt like behaving and killed his girlfriend as a result of a long series of choices he made.

Yes, this.  I totally thought that as I watched her. What could I have done so that HE might have made different choices?

That's not to say that what happened is her fault. I'm sure she has plenty of her own guilt and shame.  I know, I would.[/quote]
