The kids should be learning languages but just not taking the high school credit classes. So what if in two years they just get enough to start Language 1 or 2 in HS - with no HS credit so that they must take 2 years in HS . At least they have a foundation. DS in middle school and is finishing Spanish 3 but cannot really speak it, but gets As. He doesn't even have to take it in High School but I am going to push him to retake 2 and 3 in HS and then 4 so that he really can speak it. That is the purpose right? [/quote]
