Yes. But I have developed psychic abilities through over a decade of yoga (actual yoga). I can contact divine beings through meditation. They're real.
Divine beings meaning angels? Or also everyday people who have passed? Do you have a religious affiliation?
I'm Hindu, but being Hindu basically means I believe all divine beings exist - so Abrahamic angels would be included in that too. Yes, I've received visits from my patron deity Vishnu, as well as other beings, including Abrahamic angels. My ancestors as well, so that counts as people who have passed. I am reluctant to describe all of this in detail because there's a danger of turning into sensational, "paranormal" stuff. If you progress in yoga, you will slowly and naturally begin to develop these abilities. They are available to everyone. However, gaining psychic powers is not important and should not be the goal. Healing, ego-death and spiritual growth are most important. Vishnu has actually prevented me from seeing the future when he felt I had lessons to learn, for example; Vishnu also blocks me off from invoking gods or angels when he feels I should be focusing on being present with my physical life and focusing on healing emotional wounds. So the real point of a spiritual practice like yoga should always be healing and ego-death, not gaining psychic powers.
I have psychic abilities too. I am the PP with the uncle who died. The more you work on developing them, the more you can tap into them at will. The uncle thing was not the first time it had happened, but it was the first time I got others involved so it was documented, and everyone else was kind of freaked out. For me, it was NBD because that had happened, with varying levels of dramatics, to me many times before. Not so much that it was blasé, but certainly more than a few times. Now, it's like I can really, truly tap into things. I knew Trump was going to win- without a doubt, a couple days before, and that was something I specifically wanted to know. It's a very strange feeling, like your grasping for a silk thread hanging in the air, while wearing a blindfold. But when you find it- you know. Anyway, there are lots of skeptics but that's okay, because I know what I know, and it's so useful to me that I don't really care whether others believe. I also try not to take too much advantage, and only ask about the big things because, as you said, you are contacting the divine- God. And to abuse that or use it for silly things would be disrespectful and an abuse of a gift.
That's awesome! Though of course I give you my condolences for your uncle's death. Yes, I've long since learned to shrug off the skeptics. I also realized that there was an underlying insecurity behind my need to convince others that this is real. If I know it's real, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
