I though it was obvious I meant that to express yourself as a cultural Jew, you need to decide what kind of cultural Jew you are. If OP just wants to do what everybody else does, or what seems to meet her need that her kid not feel left out, there is no need to explore what her values really are, or what kind of identity she wants to transmit.
