Daycare recommendations in Bethesda or Kensington?

Thanks in advance. Not interested in home, just a center.

I should add that I'm looking for an infant.

I would also love information on this. Bethesda specifically.

Rock Spring Children's Center in Bethesda is building additional infant rooms right now, which will be ready in June or July I think. Both our children are at Rock Spring and we've been very happy. We live in Kensington (as do a lot of the families at Rock Spring) and it is convenient for us. All info is available on the website -- www.rockspringchildrenscenter.com

Second the recommendation for Rock Spring - we have 2 children there who love it immensely. We live in North Bethesda and will be attending Garrett Park ES (eventually) - the commute is great, the teachers are great, the facility is clean and fun for the kids. Cannot be more happy (unless there was a price cut, but, in this case, I feel we get our money's worth). If you have any specific questions, I'm happy to answer. And no, I am not on the Board or any way affilliated with the Center beyond the fact that I have children there.

Anyone know anything about Children in the Shoe?

I do. It's also a good provider - my children were at the B-CC location before we switched to Rock Spring - for reasons wholly unrelated to CITS. I prefer Rock Spring, but you should check them both out. I am happy to talk with you offline if you'd like.

I am also a current parent at Rock Spring and a former parent at CITS - E/W location. Initially, we left CITS because the commute from Rockville was too much for us, and because Rock Spring has a wonderful outdoor play area (important for our energetic two-year-old). The downside about Rock Spring is the price, and they don't offer part-time slots (unless you find another family to share a slot). But I am very happy with the care that my son is receiving, and don't have any other cons.

Wonders in downtown Bethesda is excellent though expensive.
