| Lots of places offer prenatal massage, but just don't advertise it since for some reason they don't know we're looking for them. If you find a massage therapist/spa near you, you can call and ask if they have anyone qualified to do a prenatal massage. I've found that almost every place I've asked has had someone even if their website didn't specify prenatal massages. Certainly saves the need to drive across town once you discover your local day spa can do this. |

I've had three at three different places and all were good.
1. Teal Center at Virginia Hospital Center -- best location for me, could have been more firm and lady was a talker 2. Teal Center in Ballston -- could have been more firm. 3. Red door at Pentagon Center/Row (I don't know the diff). PERFECT. Diseree (sp?) pronounced dez-array |
| I recommend Lucille at Teal Center - I don't know if she works from the Ballston location, however. |
| thanks!!! |
| I also have been to both teal centers and red door in arlington. The teal center massages were ok and I loved the massage from red door. |

I highly recommend Jocelyn Gorden with Love Movmement Healing Arts in Arlington.

FYI, the Teal Center (Ballston location) did not have the maternity (pillow with the hole so you could lay on your stomach) padding when I was there a few months ago. I can't recall if the one at VA Hosp. Center has one (it's been over two years since I've been there). IMO, the best prenatal massages are those where you can lay down on your stomach.
FWIW I think pretty much all places offer prenatal. I haven't been to a spa or massage therapy location that didn't offer prenatal. I even tried Massage Envy (Falls Church location) and they offered prenatal, no padding though and it certainly wasn't the best massage I've had. I'd actually rate it as mediocre at best compared to every other massage I've had thus far, but for $49 I felt like I couldn't complain much. -CK |
