What is a reasonable rate for in-home daycare in DC?

Anonymous
We are considering placing our 3-month old in an in-home daycare with an experienced nanny and mother of a 4-month old. This will be in her home in the downtown area of DC and she will be caring for her child and ours and no other children. Can someone please help me figure out what a reasonable compensation rate is for this service?

How much per hour (on average) do parents in dc pay for high-quality small group care (out of your child's home)?

My licensed childcare provider now charges $175 a week. She has provider care for my now 4 year old since she was 4months old-I transition her to preschool when she was 3. My provider is now taking care of my 1.5 year old, whom she has had since she was 6 months old. She is awesome!! Takoma Park, DC.

I am a SAHM in the same situation. I have ECE and experience. I care for another infant exclusively with my own infant in NW and make $11 per hour. Ideally I wanted to make at least $375 per week. In a previous nanny share that I did that was the salary per family along with taxes so I figure that it is fair.
