What is the name of that medicine that increases breast milk supply?
Fenugreek
Fenugreek is an herb. OP may be thinking of domperidone - which is illegal in the US, btw.
Domperidone is the generic name. Motilium is the brand name. Its not "illegal" in the U.S., just not FDA approved for lactation. Its perfectly legal for gastrointestinal disorders. You can get it from places like inhousepharmacy.com.
i take domperidone and all the herbs and teas and drops and my milk supply has increased. it still isnt enough for my son, but i had almost nothing in the beginning. it's worthwhile taking these herbs and medicine.
They used to give reglan (i think) very sparingly; it can cause psychosis and liver damage however, so it is no longer given for this off label use.
I've been rebuilding my supply after a steep drop following illness - the motherlove more's mothers milk tincture tastes absolutely disgusting but is working wonders. Also nurse, nurse, nurse as much as possible.
i have heard oatmeal helps...
I have been taking more milk plus special blend, moringa, and shatavari (available at the Breastfeeding center). Have made lactation cookies (recipe on epicurious). Supply is getting better, but still not enough to cover daycare bottles.
Mothers Milk Tea can be found at GNC. It has herbs that naturally increase your milk flow. Good Luck
I wish the tea was enough.

Its domperidone, or brand name Motilium. For me, none of that other stuff (or more accurately, all of that other stuff together), made no impact. Inhousepharmacy.com is now inhousepharmacy.biz, and it takes a while to get here because it ships by international parcel post.
Again, not illegal, just not prescribed in the U.S. for this off-label use. Good luck! |

drink coke, the high sugar content will bring your milk. Or just get some more rest.
Demand determines supply. Being a cow is hard work. |
