Best indoor plants?

Anonymous
Hi everyone. We are looking to add some indoor plants to our decor. We are thinking more potted plant vs hanging, although in some cases we'd be interested in some artfully arranged smaller "wall" plants. What are some of the best plants for us to be looking at, other that succulents? Thanks!

I'm all about easy plants these are the ones that have worked for me with little effort:

snake plant (Sansevieria)
Yucca
Spider plant
Peace Lily
Arrowhead plant

I also have this amazing Ming plant (well 3, planted together - and it sits on my fireplace mantle). I'm not 100% sure what it is but I've had it for like 9 years now and get a lot of compliments on it. I got it from a flower shop and I think it is probably Ming aralia (Polyscias fruticosa).

I feel like it's nearly impossible to kill a pothos. They grow pretty quickly, too.

My mother use to put pothos clippings in vases full of water and they'd thrive! I don't know if she added anything to the water. If you google it, there are blog posts about that.

Our best indoor plant is a peace lily that we have been able to keep dividing, now in 3 separate planters (and still full!) It does really well even in dark corners.

We also like our prayer plant that has done really well for at least 8 years. I got a teeny tiny pilea plant last year at a yard sale and it's cute too!

I'm looking at adding a ZZ plant after finding it on this local shop's website: https://littleleafshop.com/collections/plants/products/10-zz-plant
