Hello, we are looking for day care options for this fall for a 3month old and 3.5yo with long hours somewhere in between Mosaic/Dunn Lorring and Virginia Hospital Center. Any recommendations for safe, trusted day cares? Preferably open before 7am and close after 6p but flexible. Thank you!
With those hours and two you'd be better off with a nanny.
My guess is you are a doctor or nurse at VHC? Ask your colleagues which daycares they use.
Pp here. I see your tag, two doctors.
Look at Winwood Fairfax. They are open 6:30-6. We have had a good experience.
There's a Bright Horizons associated with Inova Fairfax that's open from 6AM-6:30PM (I think in another thread you said you'd be at Inova...)
Nanny unless you 100% never leave work late.
Get a nanny and give your kids a break... those hours are too long and the baby is much to young to stay in a daycare setting.
Nanny. Most reputable daycares won’t keep kids for 12 hours.
+1 With two kids the cost of a nanny is really comparable. |
Nanny who drives and part-time preschool for your 3.5 year old!
Merritt Academy on 50 at Nutley, hours are 6:30a to 6:30p. My 3 yr old is there and we've been happy with it.
I know this will sound judgy but I hope you’re asking because you sometimes need early mornings or sometimes need late evenings, but I hope you won’t actually use it for 12 hours straight!
Please don’t leave them for 12 hours straight.
