Frequency of oil changes?

Hi, I have a 2018 Giulia AWD. The service manual suggests an oil change every 10K miles, but my regular mechanic, who services Porsches, BMWs and other fancy cars, told me that because my engine is a turbo, I should change it every 5K.
Thoughts? Thank you! Absolutely love the car, have had it for 18 months with no issues beyond a couple of easily handled recalls.fedloan irs.gov easybib |

| Oil changes are cheap and I would lean towards more frequent changes with the turbo as well. |

| Follow whatever the car manual says. Of course the mechanic has an interest in telling you to change more frequently. |

| I usually stick with the manufacturer's recommendation. They tend to be conservative in their recommended maintenance. The mechanic has a vested interest in encouraging you to buy his services more frequently. |
