high school graduation gift for goddaughter

Anonymous
My goddaughter, who I'm close to, is graduating from high school. Looking for gift ideas. I'm thinking about a piece of jewelry, something keepsake, maybe from Tiffany's or something. I'm open to anything (I'm not really on top of all the latest trends). Willing to spend up to $200-$250. I'll probably also get her something with her college logo stamped on it.

Thoughts?

OP here. Anybody know where to get a name necklace? That's another idea I have.

We are giving the daughter of close friends a very simple delicate diamond necklace.

I've learned not to surprise teenagers. I asked my goddaughter what she wanted and told her my budget. She told me she wanted a camera and I bought her one.

There are a lot of lovely options at Tiffany. I'd recommend trying to get something simple and classic that she can have for a long time instead of a name necklace that will likely go out of fashion at some point.

I agree with the others that something classic would be wonderful and sentimental. Kids have lots of trendy jewelry but an elegant diamond bracelet, necklace or earrings are timeless and she can have them all through life.

My college DD has acquired a lot of stuff with her college logo on it but she really loves a memory box that a friend gave her in her school colors. It stays at home here but she puts things in it every time she comes home.

Thanks all. I got a line on a beautiful piece of jewelry, a David Yurman piece. It's more than I want to pay but not terribly. I keep thinking: how will I top this for college graduation?!

The new laptop is always a good idea. Sometimes there are situations when you do not have time to do your homework and you can order an essay on a special site.
