| My insurance will cover PGD and PGS, I just need pre-authorization to do the analysis. Shady Grove is saying Igenomix is responsible for that and Igenomix is saying Shady Grove is responsible for that. So far, SGF has been wrong about everything they've said about Igenomix so i don't trust them. Did anyone have the same issue and how was it resolved? If i dont have pre-authorization, my insurance will deny reimbursing me and we'll have pay $5k for the test, which we cant afford. TIA! |
| Maybe go to another clinic. |
| I'm thinking about it, but we already have the samples going into IGenomix which we're financially responsible for about $1600. We've spent a lot of time and money at SGF so I wanted to see other people's experiences and if its worked out for them. |
| Have you tried reaching out to your insurance? |
| Yeah, they wont cover it unless they get pre-authorization and that SFG should send in a request. |
I just did sgf ivf last year paid $2000 for first 10 embryos. After that 150 each embryo. So that price is quite high. Your dealing directly with sgf so i assume it should be their responsibility. If you are gonna have to deal with pgs/pgd lab you should have an option to go somewhere else. I had problems with finance departments there. Bring it up to doctor and tell them ur going somewhere else if this not resolved |

Ask to speak to head of billing department. This would be a SGF responsibility....they are recommending it for a reason. Igenomix has no clue what that reason is, they are just processing batches.
Call your doctor direct if you don't get a response stat. They have no clue how incompetent their staff is. |
| Shady Grove is notoriously terrible in the financial department. Tell your nurse or doctor about the finger pointing and tell them this needs to get resolved ASAP. My nurse was helpful on the financial stuff when I hit dead ends. Good luck. |
| Is going in and talking to someone a possibility? Don’t leave without a resolution. |
Most Infertility clinics have terrible financial departments. |
| Try Dominion they work with Igenomix so you would not have to repeat what you've done so far. They got us authorization for our PGD, but it did take 30 days. |
| Why did it take 30 days? |
| Has anyone used their FSA to pay for testing? |
| Yes, FSA will cover Igenomix PGS testing. I think I submitted it under labs and just submit the emailed receipt from Igenomix. |
