SO I have always wanted a baby boy. No matter what I will be happy if I just have a healthy baby. However, since I am always throwing up people are always telling me I must be having a girl. I was just wondering if anyone had pretty bad nausea during their pregnancy and still had a boy. |
I've been pregnant 3 times with boys. The first time I had zero morning sickness. The second time I had terrible morning sickness -- so bad I had to go on Zofran. The third time I had morning sickness, but it didn't last as long as the second pregnancy. |
It's totally an old wives tale. I'll reassure you the opposite way -- I've had zero morning sickness, nausea, food aversions and I'm having a girl. |
My friend was hospitalized due to severe morning sickness with 2 or her 3 pregnancies, all boys.
I agree that this sounds like an old wives tale. |
Old wives tale indeed. I've had two boys and one girl. The pregnancies have all had severe nausea and throwing up. |
SIL spent first 14 weeks with her head in the toilet and she had a boy.
She even lost weight she puked so much and was so nausueous she couldnt eat |
Everyone tells me the same thing and I desperately want a girl. I've had absolutely NO morning sickness, so I keep being told it's a boy. My sister is also pregnant and has been really sick... she just had her U/S and found out it's a girl. My mom had 3 girls and she was sick with all of her pregnancies. I am hoping it's just an old wive's tale because I want a girl SO badly... I just have a feeling it's a boy now. |
Terrible nausea for the first 16 weeks... I am having a boy! |
I had nausea and had a boy. Second time, no nausea and had a girl. |
I've had both genders and was nauseated/throwing up both times until about 15 weeks. Pregnancies were pretty much identical.
I REALLY don't think that gender can be predicted by nausea or lack of it! |
Nausea for weeks 8 through 20 and I'm having a BOY! |
Old wives' tale. No nausea here and a baby girl. |
Old wives tale. Just like people will say that if you're all tummy, you're having a boy, but if you get bigger all over, it's a girl. It's always the negative that if supposed to predict a girl - I think they're mostly sexist holdovers from when boys were just valued more. For what it's worth, I have a boy and I had terrible morning sickness. |
I've had two boys and two girls and nausea was HORRIBLE with all four. I had never heard of a correlation between morning sickness and gender. Considering 75 to 80% of women experience nausea there is no way it could be due to gender. |
WhatEVER. I had terrible nausea this time around and everyone told me it's because it was a boy. Clearly people just make stuff up.
FWIW, I am indeed having a boy! But I was nauseous the first pregnancy too, and that was a girl... |
