Hello Fellow Parents,
I am a parent in Loudoun County and I know I am late in the game of searching for the right aftercare for my 5 YO who will be starting school this fall. Luckily the CASA (County After School Program) in his school still has a few spots open. However I am debating whether it is a good idea to enroll in CASA vs having him go to an aftercare facility which includes an activity like Martial Arts/STEM etc. I work Full time so taking him to any activities during the weekdays is not an option for me.
The costs for the 2 are comparable so that is not the deciding factor. Any suggestions regarding the pros or cons for each would be a great help ! TIA..

Thanks for the inputs. From what I have heard, CASA fills out pretty fast (The Open Registration starts in a few days)..and getting IN is pretty difficult. I see that it is almost full for other nearby schools.
So I would most likely be signing up for that if I get lucky. If for some reason we end up not liking the program, there is always an option to withdraw at a later time.

OP here..just wanted to update. The CASA Open Registration started today at 8:30 AM..and I was lucky enough to secure a spot. The Online Portal was soooo slow...but endured the longest 15 mins of my life going through the Online Registration process. When I checked later..all the school's CASA Programs are now on waitlist..I am still not sure if its due the good quality or low cost...
Hopefully I have made the right choice.. I will update more here as we will experience how the program is.
